Tentative plans are being made for a service in Norfolk, where her home has been for the past 50+ years and many friends and loved ones remain as well. Please check back at Family Choice’s website for updated information.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the veterans’ charity of your choice. She was diagnosed with terminal cancer 6 weeks prior to her death, and she was a Navy wife, Army mother, and grandmother to members of the Army and Air Force who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, and sister to brothers who served in Vietnam. As such, she had a personal understanding and strong passion for the sacrifices that service members and their families make. She would be honored to know that contributions were made in memory of her.
