Obituary for Reather Brothers

Reather Brothers
Reather Fields Brothers, 80, passed away May 9, 2017 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was a native of North Carolina, but has resided in Virginia Beach for the past sixty years.
Reather was a devout Catholic and a member of the Star of the Sea Catholic Church. She graduated from ODU with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and became a Probation and Parole Officer. She served both Norfolk and Virginia Beach.
Left to cherish her memory are her Son, Mark (Carol) Oakley; Grandchildren, Erika Oakley, Mark Lane Oakley, Jr and her Great Grandchild Mason. The family will be holding a private service.
Reather, you were a wonderful mother and were able to fulfill your dreams of receiving a college education. Enjoy the reunion with your siblings, Charlie, Margie and Claudia; may you all sing, laugh and play for evermore. You will be missed.
