Amalio Martinez
Amalio "Marty" Martinez, 55, passed away in his home on Sunday, November 19th, 2017 in Virginia Beach surrounded by his family. Born on July 16th, 1962 in Texas, he was the son of Graviel and Magdelena Martinez, the husband of Georgann Martinez and father of Shyanna Martinez. Marty was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he served honorably for 24 years and retired as an Aviation Electronics Technician (AT) Chief.

After serving in the Navy, Marty obtained a bachelor’s degree in IT from ECPI University. He was previously employed by Hewlett Packard, and also worked as IT support for Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Marty had a love for barbecuing and was known for making an amazing brisket. He also liked fishing, the Dallas Cowboys, NASCAR (Dale Earnhardt Jr.), and working with computers. His greatest joys in life were snow and spending time with his family.
