Mike Carrop, 66 yrs old, passed away after a long and courageous battle with diabetes and other health issues. He is survived by his mother, Rosemary Carrop and close friend, Brenda Lewis. He was pre-deceased by his father Ralph and his brother Randy. A graduate of Princess Anne High School, Mike worked at Cycle World in Virginia Beach and later at Sunrise Auto & Cycle in Norfolk. He was well known in the Hampton Roads motorcycle community and would do anything to help a fellow motorcyclist. His career in the motorcycle industry was interrupted every year in March while he attended Bike Week in Daytona. A Poker Run in his honor will be held at a later date.

I am sorry for your loss. Mike was a.very dear friend and we are going to miss him greatly.
Mike and I met shortly after high school and were inseparable for many years. We shared a love for everything motorcycles. The memories we made will never be forgotten! Mike was a true friend!!!
I brought Mike some clothes and candy only a dozen hours before he passed away. He was going through hell in his last days.
Mike I will miss the days we worked together at Sunrise! And miss our rides and going up to gators for a couple of cool ones during the summer. I will miss you Mike
