Alma Curry Poole, 94, of Louisa, KY, went home to be with the Lord on October 20th, 2021.

She was born on October 17, 1927, the daughter of Amos and Quince Curry of Delbarton, WV. Alma was preceded in death by her brothers: Willy, Dee, Elmer, Wade, and Clifford; step-grandson, Brian Johnson; son-in-law, Robert “Bob” Johnson; and her beloved husband of 60 years John Andrew Poole.

Alma was a long time resident of Portsmouth, VA and a faithful member of Point Harbor Community Church in Chesapeake. Alma worked for W.T. Grants in Portsmouth before going to work for Portsmouth Orthopedics and Associates in the insurance and billing department. She retired from P.O.A. after 25 years of service at the age of 72.
Left to cherish her memory is her beloved daughter Carolyn Poole Johnson of Louisa, KY; grandson, Eric W. Loulies (Betsy) of Laveen, AZ; step-grandson, Kevin L. Johnson (Wendy) of Virginia Beach; step-daughter-in-law, Jennifer Johnson; great-grandsons: Ronin W. Loulies of Pocahontas, VA, Ethan and Liam Loulies of Laveen, AZ; step-great-grandsons: Wesley and Justin Johnson; and step-great-great-grandchildren: Jayden, Alexis, Khloe, Kylor, Mariah, and Rylo all of Virginia Beach; sister, Sadie Curry Daniels of Louisa, KY; brothers, Paris Curry and Jeff (Ferbie) of Delbarton, WV, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm, Monday, October 25th, 2021 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
