Ruth, 81, went home to be with the Lord on March 1, 2012. Born in North Carolina on May 24, 1930, to the late Leland and Thelma Tart Powell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond D. Slover, but leaves behind a loving sister, Leona Nock; three nieces, Theresa Nock, Carole Rotella, and Tammy Poole; and many more loving family and friends.

Services will be private.
