  6. Uncle Arne, words cannot even describe how everyone is feeling and none of us will ever understand why you were taken so soon.

When my yaya (Cheryl) passed away, you were right beside me at the funeral hugging me; so tight that I felt like all the broken pieces of me got stuck back together. I never thought that just a simple hug from someone would be so great and so detrimental at the same time. Not hearing your voice, not getting my hug from you hurts more than anything. You have been a rock for me, and I’m not even your immediate family. That’s just how he was with people, he made you feel like the white sheep when you felt black, he was about to light up a room and make anyone feel better. He was full of jokes, funny or not, that we all laughed at.

I cannot even imagine how Aunt char, Brandi Heaven and Corey are feeling. I don’t really have the right words to say, but do any of we? Celebrate his life because he wouldn’t want it any other way. Cry when you need to but always pull yourself back to the thousands of memories you were able to create and find joy in knownhow many peoples lives he touched. He was an amazing dad, wonderful husband and the best uncle/grandpa I ever had Lol remember him for that. Love you guys and here if you need anything

  7. I only met Arne a few times when I came over and attended to my son after a surgery he had this past year. Arne always had a pleasant thing to say about everybody and what a great encourager he was. May the Lord bless your family and I know he will be sorely missed. He always let his light shine unto the world.

  8. as a resident of the Cosmopolitan, I will surely miss Arnre’s smile, silly sense of humor, and his willingness to help everyone. I teach cooking classes here at the Cosmo, and it was always wonderful to hear his stories of how the people who attended my classes would just rave to Arne about my class and the food on their way out of the building. Arme was a great supporter of my classes, and was very helpful to all of the people attending them. I know they will miss him greatly too! :(. We love you Arne!

  13. I was shocked to hear of Arne`s passing. I pet sit for some residents at the Cosmopolitan so I come there regularly. That’s where I met Arne. He always had a smile, a joke and a story for me. The love he had for his family was obvious by his many stories. I felt I knew Meadow with all of the funny stories I heard of her and her Pop. Every time I came into the Cosmo there were always a few residents sitting and chatting with him. He had a Smile and a Hello for everyone. I am just one of the many people who will miss his smile and raspy laugh. Gone too soon. God bless and much love. Heaven has a new angel.

  17. Good Evening,

I have been a resident at the Cosmopolitan for 2 months, and Arne made me feel “at home”. He always had a smile on his face, despite any circumstance. He would walk into a room and light it up like a candle. His death was extremely shocking to me! I often looked forward to just talking with him, he had such a kindred spirit. God definitely called one of his angels home! Thank you for sharing him with us. I feel fortunate to have know such a GREAT person. He will be missed, and NO ONE will be able to fill his shoes.

My deepest condolences to you and your family. May God keep you and mend your hearts.

  18. I had the pleasure of knowing Arne over the last 6 months while living at the cosmopolitan. His warming smile and genuine kindness and concern of everyone will be missed. He always shared stories of his granddaughter and how much he loved his wife. My 2 daughters loved seeing him and interacting with him always brought us all smiles. He felt like part of our family. Arne was one of those people that you were glad to have met and you will never forget. May your family find peace in knowing that he has impacted so many people in such a positive way.

  19. Dear Family of Arne,

I live at The Cosmopolitian and Arne was the light of our building! He was the first person I met when I moved to Virginia. He absolutely loved his family — always talked about you. And, he enjoyed hearing about our families as well. His booming voice and jovial laugh are greatly missed in our building. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
