Audrey Jeannine Shoup, 77, of Virginia Beach, VA, received her wings on June 18, 2013.

She was born in Marietta, GA, on June 23, 1935, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Whitley, also of Marietta, GA.

Jean was a homemaker who dedicated her life to raising multiple generations of children, whether they were hers, or just a child that needed a guiding hand, but her grandchildren were the light of her life, and her reason for living.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack D. Shoup, and son, Harrold E. Johnson. She is survived by children Roger W. Brown, Linda F. Taylor and Larry D. Shoup; Daughters-in-law Lolita P. Brown and Sabrina R. Shoup; Son-in-law Woodrow W. Taylor; grandchildren Christopher J. Franklin, Rishill P. Brown, Ashlee J. Shoup, Britney D. Shoup, Nigel N. Taylor, and Kody M. Shoup; and surrogate children Alena, Alief, Allison and Billy.

A viewing will be held at Family Choice Funeral Home at 10AM Monday, June 24, followed by a graveside service at 2PM at Hampton National Cemetery. There will be a reception following the service. Maps will be available at Family Choice Funeral Home.
