Aunt Betty, you are with God now and you are at peace. I’m sorry the years seperated us- You were always so kind to my mother and I – RIP Love , Sheila Kim
I remember Betty when she looked like this. She always loved her big hair and I always thought it made her beautiful. She and I were friends for more then 40 years. We used to sit on my porch until 2:00 in the morning trying to figure out life. She was a good friend to me and I will never forget how she taught me to be a little tougher then I was and to stand up for myself. She put makeup on me for the first time when I was 27 and she told me how pretty I was when she finished. In many ways she taught me a lot about life and love. She was a good friend and parts of her love and caring will always be a part of me that made me a better person. When I look to the skies I will always remember you and Dottie and our love for each other. Goodby friend. I know you are whole again and I am glad. Eddie said you brought him lots of fun memories and he will always remember you. Barbara

So many years have passed since I met this lovely lady. I was only 7 or 8. I have so many memories they could fill a vault…some funny, some sad and many loving. From being one of the many great moms in my childhood neighborhood to mother-in-law then to friend. She was a friend to many including my mother Thelma for many years. My mother says she was the kind of friend that you need not talk to everyday but when you did it seemed like had. I remember the laughter she created while she sat outside with her friends and neighborhood kids played hide and seek into the night. Her life was filled with challenges but it never took away the smile I saw whenever I would see her. This is how I will aways remember her…and yes her “Big” hair she so loved. God has taken your pain and given you peace. Janet
What a beautiful soul….Ms. Betty you will truly be missed by so many. I, too, remember so many childhood memories that I would spend at your house and remember you, mom, and our other neighborhood “moms” that shared so much time together. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. May these precious memories bring them strength.
Thank you for all you did for me through the years.
