Brenda Lee Jennings, 77, passed away on Monday, March 19th, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at her home in Virginia Beach. Brenda was born on September 26th, 1940 in Collingdale, PA. She was the daughter of Alfred and Alberta Chesky.
She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Dennis Brian Jennings, her adoring sister, Ethel Mathews, her 4 children, Denise, Sheri, Timothy, and Tracy and her beloved dog Misty. Brenda will also be fondly remembered by her 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Alberta Chesky, her sister Joan Hogan, and her Brother Al Chesky Jr.
Brenda enjoyed a full life of world travel with her husband. She published two books and along with her husband and family owned and operated many businesses. Yet her biggest and best accomplishment was her family. Brenda cared for her gigantic family to the very end through giant, lavish meals, sneaky midnight snacks, classic-movie marathons, family game nights, and sharing stories and wisdom from her life. She had a love for all types of music and could be heard humming a tune throughout any given day. Her love for the Christmas season was infectious. She crafted beautiful Santa Clauses that both sold in stores and decorated her home, always had the most beautiful tree, and never missed sending a homemade personal card to each and every member in her enormous family. There are no words for how much Brenda will be missed, but her loving spirit will be carried on in everyone touched by her in life.
The family will have a private Memorial Service on Sunday, March 25th, 2018 at 2:00 pm at
Memorial United Methodist church.

Denise, Timothy, Sheri, Tracy, and Denis,
Brenda was heart and soul of family. My memories are fading but laughter is what i hear when i think of her in my childhood. My mother and yours lived to laugh. I remember her being very devoted to you all and always supportive. The world is a bit grayer now, but her thoughts and actions live on in your hearts and lives. I am praying for her eternal peace and your living peace. May your memories, and love for each other carry you through this terrible loss. Im keeping you all close in prayer.
To Dennis, Denise, Sheri, Timothy, and Tracy,
May God soften your hurt with his grace and love in ways that cannot be seen. As you journey through this time of mourning know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Your mother’s unconditional love has been passed on to you to share with your children and grandchildren, the legacies of your mother.
The love and care that Brenda showered upon her beloved Dennis for 61 years is now in your hands. Her spirit will help you with this task. By doing this, you will honor her and her legacy.
Love in Christ,
Larry and Cathy Edmonds
