Buddy was my first born grandchild. He brought so much joy into our lives. We loved him so very much. He grew up and became a wonderful man, kind-loving and so generous to us all. He always worked so hard to achieve his goals and he achieved many of them. We will miss and love you always.
Buddy (Edmond Franklin) Baker, Jr. passed away Friday, October 28, peacefully at his home. Born July 11, 1967 in Norfolk to the late Buddy (Edmond Franklin) Baker, Sr. and Mary Lynn Dudley. Buddy ran the family business, “Buddy Baker Concrete” that has been serving the Tidewater area for 50 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and pets. He also enjoyed boating, fishing, cooking, and many other simple things in life.
Buddy will forever be remembered by his loving companion and best friend, Terri Brown; twin daughters, Jewel and Jade Baker; a son, Steven Weston-Baker; grandmother, Joan D. Baker; brothers Joseph, Mark, Brandon, and Jarrod (JC) Baker; a sister, Kim Baker; uncles, Randy and Howard Baker; aunts, Pearl Crichton and Lisa Robinson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides his parents, Buddy was preceded in death by his grandmother, Nellie Dudley; and his faithful four-legged companion, New-G. Buddy touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end.
