Carter A. Nowak, 78, of Norfolk passed away on April 14, 2012 at his home in Norfolk. Born May 20, 1933 in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late Ray and Edith Schweitzer Nowak. He was an officer in the U.S. Navy and had worked as a general contractor. His hobbies included boating, architectural design and building, and cars.

He is survived by a son, Mark Nowak and his wife, Felicia of Norfolk; a daughter, Suzanne DeSandre and her husband, Rico of Menlo Park, CA; and four grandchildren, Brittany D. Taylor, Lauren N. Gonzalez, Russell DeSandre and Robert DeSandre.

A celebration of life service will beheld on Sunday at 2pm at 401 College Place #27, Norfolk, 23510. Please use the link provided to sign the online guest book.
