Celia San Jose Gonzales, age 69, passed away in peace and surrounded by loved ones in Virginia Beach, VA on 9/9/2022. Born in Manila, Philippines, Celia was born on 3/24/1953, graduated from Far Eastern University with a degree in accounting, emigrated to the United States alongside her spouse as a US Navy wife, having traveled to various places being stationed with the military while raising her children, such as Hawaii, Florida, Iceland, and landing in Norfolk, VA where she and her family settled in Virginia Beach. Celia was always great with numbers, loved playing bingo, and enjoyed card games. Left to cherish Celia’s memory include her husband of almost 49 years, Rodolfo Gonzales; her three children, Christopher (Christina), Anthony, and Michelle (Earis); grandchildren Christopher (Camielle), Jayden, Caleb, Natalie, Jino, Perrin, Julius, and Jaxon; her mother Concordia; brothers Mando and Felix San Jose; and siblings-in-law Edna, Rolly, and Romeo. Celia is predeceased by her father, Felix San Jose, Sr. A celebration of life is pending to be scheduled at a later date, in which the family will update when details are finalized

    To the family of my first cousin Celia Arevalo San Jose, I would like to convey my condolences to you all. Celia is a woman of valor, would try everything to survive. We are best friends, and I was her confidant in everything before she left for the USA. Yes, we lost her now but, I consider it as a gain for her as death is not the end of existence – there is life after life. God bless you all, family of my dear cousin Celia.
