Chris Angel Vargas Lorenzo, 18, of Virginia Beach passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2011. Born December 30, 1992 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Angelo Vargas and Diana Lorenzo. He was a graduate of Kellam High School, Class of 2010 and currently studying Business Administration at Tidewater Community College. Chris loved working on cars and motorcycles, as well as spending time with his family and friends. He was very dedicated, helping his father run IDS Landscapes. Although he got up every day and worked like a man, he was still a kid at heart, as evidenced by his love of candy. Chris was the best brother, son, boyfriend, and friend, and never let anything affect his great mood.

Besides his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Michael D. Vargas Lorenzo and John M. Vargas Lorenzo; and his girlfriend, Brianna Daley.

A visitation with the family will be held on Friday, October 21st from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at Family Choice Funerals and Cremations, 5401 Indian River Road in Virginia Beach. A funeral mass will be offered on Saturday, October 22nd at 10 a.m. at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 2304 Salem Road, Virginia Beach with Fr. Silvio Kaberia officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church. Interment will be private.
