
Clifton “Cliff” Allen Golby, 49, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away on November 6th, 2021, after a tough battle with cancer.
Cliff, was born on December 30, 1971.He was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world.
Cliff was also a passionate adventurer and could often be found sailing, cruising, flying, building, working on cars, working, spreading his knowledge and experience with burn survival, when he was or wasn’t at home.
Anyone who knew Cliff knew that he was the most loving father, husband and friend anyone could ask for.
Cliff is survived by: his wife, Maureen Golby; two daughters; Mary Poettker and Melissa Poettker and husband Justin Smith; five grandchildren: Micah, Shaylee, Brody, Hunter and Ryder; parents: father, Clifford Golby and wife Mary Golby and mother, Sherry Norman; sister, Kara Spoor and husband Charlie Spoor; as well as his nieces, Brianna, Cadie and Piper.
He was preceded in death by Doris Golby, his grandmother and his best dog, Odin.

So glad I was able to get to meet and know Cliff this past year. He was indeed a special person with an extraordinary zest for life. Taken too soon, we will miss him. So very sorry for your loss!
