Colton David Gwaltney was born February 18, 2015 and passed away on Saturday, February 13th, 2016, just five days before his 1st birthday. Colton peacefully drifted off to sleep in his mother’s arms after fighting a long courageous battle and receiving two bone marrow transplants against Malignant Infantile Osteoporosis. He was a brave, happy baby with a contagious smile that could light up any room.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Jamie Hamilton; big sister, Autumn Hamilton; big brother, Gavin Hamilton; grandparents: Steven and Kathleen Siler, Jeannette and Michael Smith; four aunts: Heidi and Jason Gilbert, Kristie and John Williford, Kathryn McCallister and Megan Smith; two uncles: Cory and Rebecca McCallister, Patrick Smith; Along with his clan of cousins: Meghan, Colleen, Josh, Brianna, Alex, Aiden, Ryan, Sean, Madison, Chloe, Brody, Aubrey and Layla

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Family Choice Funerals & Cremations. 5401 Indian River Rd. Virginia Beach, VA 23464.

    My heart is with you, Autumn, Gavin and Colton. What a brave little boy that you have looking over you now. I love you and am here for whatever you need day or night.

    My deepest condolences. I followed Colton’s story from the day when Heidi posted the news video of his diagnosis. You have been through a lot and God will continue to strengthen you.
