
Crawford Peter Carey, 80, passed away on Tuesday, April 10th, 2018 in Norfolk, Virginia. Crawford or “Booty” as he was known by too many was born on April 24th, 1937 in Long Branch, New Jersey. He was the son of Joseph and Clara Carey and husband of the late Bernice “Bea” Carey. Crawford lived in Cliffwood, New Jersey where he retired and then moved to Norfolk, Virginia 22 years ago with his loving Wife and his only Daughter. Crawford was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. In the 1950’s he was deployed to Korea. He was retired from ABF Trucking and was a Life member of the Cliffwood First Aid Squad. He enjoyed spending time with his beloved family. He was a huge fan of Nascar for many years and enjoyed going to dozens of races. Crawford also enjoyed bowling and fishing.
He is survived by his loving daughter Theresa Carey Murphy, Son-in-law Shawn Murphy, two deeply cherished Grandchildren Scott Jacobs and Brittany Murphy. Eight sisters and Four brothers. And many sister and brother in laws and many nieces and nephews.
