I am Free
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free
I’m following the path God has laid you see.
I took His hand when I heard him call
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work, to play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way
I found that peace at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss
Oh yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life’s been full, I savored much
Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and peace to thee
God wanted me now; He set me free.

I just can’t believe you are gone. I have been thinking about our good times at Norfolk State. You and Bernadette were the best roommates ever! I can still see our names on the door on the 10th floor of room 1016, Bernadette, LaVette and Danette. The best part was that we were all from Richmond. No more pain so rest well and know that you were loved.
To the entire Valentine-Sibert Family: My condolences go out to you all, on the passing of Sister Danette (Dee) L. Sibert-Valentine. Her many friends share your grief and I hope that you can find some comfort, in your many special memories and in the thought of the happy years you shared. Please know that you are very much in my thoughts and heart at this time of sorrow. RIP and Farewell my Redskins Sister, we will miss you immensely.
Will miss you my sister. Rest in peace
With love,
Jeff
Dee,
My beautiful friend I am going to miss you.
We met on Facebook but you would not have known that as we loved each other as sisters.
Your memory and legacy will live on.
I am going to miss out hours long talks on the phone making each other laugh when one of us needed to be lifted.
I am going to miss you running naked in the field when our beloved team scored a touchdown or you putting strangers in headlocks because they liked the cowbums.
I am relieved that you are no longer in pain but losing isn’t easy.
I miss you my beautiful sister
I love you Dee and I will see you when I turn 132 years old.
Sleep easy my my friend but more importantly my sister.
Love forever,
Karen
