Daniel William Ingram, 87, passed away on September 4, 2012 in Portsmouth. Born August 24, 1925 in Martinsville, VA, he was the son of the late Guy and Dossie Ingram. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II, and loved NASCAR, golf, and fishing. Mr. Ingram raised vegetables, always insisting on giving them away, rather than selling them.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda J. Ingram; two daughters, Tracy Ingram and her husband, David Heidlebaugh and Carolyn Broeker; two sons, Daniel Ingram and Raymond Ingram; two sisters, Eunice Mock and Helen Smart; three brothers, Robert Ingram and his wife, Melia, Jimmy Ingram and his wife, Kathleen, and Earl Ingram and his wife, Pat; and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Ronnie Ingram; a sister, Minnie Large; and brothers, Tom and George Ingram.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 2 p.m. at his brother’s home, 4629 Reynolds Drive, Virginia Beach.
