Danny Ray “Dopey” Welcher, 62, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, March 13th, 2015 in Roanoke.

Born January 27th, 1953 in Roanoke, he was the son of the late Leon Welcher and the late Cleo Edwards Vanness.

Survivors include two sisters, Wanda (John) Rinehart and Brenda Fowler; two brothers, Jerry and Stevie Welcher; nieces, Melissa (Don) Fitzgerald, Sandra (Reynardo) Ramos Ramos, Michelle (O.T.) Lowder, Stormy Welcher and Jennifer (Billy) Feger; several great nephews and nieces and many friends.

Services will be private.

    I didn’t know Dopey but have heard so many good things about him through Cindy. So sorry for your loss.

    I just found this. Can’t believe Danny is no longer with us. Seems like the Welcher’s were always in my life since our teenage years. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
