
David Leigh Bishop, 53, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015 in Norfolk, VA. Born on May 8, 1961 in Dover, DE, he was the son of Oliver Ray Bishop and the late Judy Fay Bahr Bishop. David was a graduate of Virginia Wesleyan College where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business. He worked as a General Manager for Lynnhaven Golf Park. David enjoyed playing sports of all kinds. He dearly loved his family and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Laura Bishop of Virginia Beach, VA; a daughter, Renee Bishop of Blue Ball, PA; a son, Justin Bishop of Virginia Beach, VA; his father, Oliver Ray Bishop and his wife, Jan of Lake Frederick, VA; a grandson, Carter Ortiz of Blue Ball, PA; a sister Deb-b White of Virginia Beach, VA; and two nephews, Eric and Kevin White.
A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2015, 6:00 p.m. at Family Choice Funerals & Cremations, 5401 Indian River Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23462. Rev. Rob Pittman officiating. Dress for the service will be business casual.
