David James Talley, 65, passed away on August 21, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by Anne, his wife of 43 years; son Chris Talley and his wife Katee; son Mike Talley and his significant other Brandy; grandchildren Austin, Hunter, Devin, Lily, Jackson and Ellen.

Mr. Talley was a veteran of the United States Navy and proudly served for 21 years. Dave’s favorite pastimes were fishing, genealogy and making jams and jellies.

In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society or a charity of their choice. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.

    Dear Anne and family, Am so sorry Dave has passed away. Memories of him will remain with me. He was such a gentle, kind, helpful, and giving spirit man.

    Dear Anne,
    I was so sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. I had no idea he had been sick.
    I remember how close you were and I know how much he loved you.
    Dave was such a nice guy and I remember the many nice things he did, his quick wit and generosity.
    Thanks Dave for your service, you will be missed.

    Dear Ann – Dave was a very special man and I will miss his quick wit and winning smile. He taught me much about working on my heritage album.

    Anne and family….no doubt David will be missed by more people than you realize. He was a super man and made the best jams and jellies. I so looked forward to those every year. My fond memories of him will stay with me forever.

    Dear Ann, I am so sorry to hear of Dave passing. I will pray for you and your family. I love Dave’s humor and kindness to me and all the girls a scrapbooking. I will always remember him with fond memories.

    Anne and family. It is a time like this when no one can lighten your load. My heart goes out to you in your loss. Hopefully you can all use the light times with family and find comfort intheintegrity Dave had and used throughout his life. Anyone who spends so many years in serving our country had great family values as his desire was to serve his country to make it safe for his family. May the love of Our Heavenly Fathercomfort you and reassure you Dave is in His loving arms and no longer in pain. If I can help any of you in any way, please let me know.
