My name is Alethea Felton, and I went to school with Deanna. I first met her when I was in 5th grade at Carver Intermediate and then saw her again when I was in high school at Indian River. I last saw Deanna at the IRHS 10 Year Reunion and met her mother as well. I live in Washington, DC now but still read the Virginian Pilot news from back home and saw Deanna’s obituary. I am saddened by her death but hope that the family is comforted during their time of grief. May God wrap His loving arms around each of you, and know that Deanna was loved and will be missed.
Joe and family, I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dearest MaryLou, Joe and David,
Many times we ask why, and do not understand God’s way, but we do know Deanna is in His loving arms and is free from all pain forever. May our dear Lord give you the strength and faith you need during this difficult time. You were chosen for Deanna and have always been a very loving family to her and now your guardian angel is watchimg over you from heaven above. Her smiling face will always be in our hearts.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Cooley Family. Deanna was very special and she will be missed by all who loved her.
You truly will be missed.
I was searching for old friends online and found this. I didn’t know Deanna too well, but she was a classmate in high school. Sad to hear she’s gone to be with the Lord. She truly was a blessing and a sweet young lady. My prayers and thoughts to all of you.
