To the Harrington Family and the City of Virginia Beach Local Voter Registration Staff,I would like to extend my Deepest Sympathy. I’m glad I had the opportunity to work with Pat for over twenty plus years. May God keep you in perfect peace during this time and the days to come.
Dear God,Thank you for sharing your servant Pat with me for 45 years. We were just two young freshmen girls at Longwood College–one from the beach and one from the mountains. She became my friend, my Longwood ASA sister, my beach companion and she loved me! She was a beautiful and loving person.Your Warrior never took a day for granted and for 8 yearsShe never complained as she fought her battle to live. She never gave up on her husband and her marriage. She worked hard and long to assist her sons and her grandchildren. She worked on Christmas all year long and had great surprises in Grandma’s Magic Closet. With her, the Christmas tree helt a special meaning and it was lit during her final days. She reflected hope, dignity and graciousness wherever she went. She gave courage and inspiration to all who knew her.I was honored to share a few of her last days and I felt Your loving arms surrounding her.May her spirit and love continue in those who loved and who cared for her; may you extend the samegrace and mercy on us that You gave Pat.And God , if you get a free moment, tell P. Buckley Moss that Pat won’t be attending her Meet the Artist Show this year because I know she’s on a lake somewhere in Heaven, enjoying your Sunshine with her hair blowing in the breeze!May we all be worthy of joining You and Pat one day!Love and AMEN,Carol

During my tenure as Manager, Elections Services at the State Board of Elections, I worked with Pat on many occassions. She was the go to person in the Virginia Beach office. Her dedication, caring and professionalism will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. Pat now is free of pain and suffering and is watching over us from her special place in Heaven.
Pat was a very special lady. It was an honor to have known her and to have worked for her at the Voter’s Registrar’s Office. She will be greatly missed. Our prayers are with you.
Frank and Family,Pat will be missed,I will remember all the great times we had in the past. God Bless you and your family.
For about two years I had the pleasure to work with Pat at the Voter Registrar’s office. A few weeks before I left, I told her my family had already relocated to New Jersey and that I wanted to join them. We both cried about it together; I cried because I loved my job and didn’t really want to leave and she cried because she said if she had known I was alone she would have been there for me. Pat cared about people and family, I will always remember her kindness towards me.
My dearest sympathy goes out to Pat’s husband, family members and many friends.I’ve know Pat since she began working with the city’s Voter Registrar’s Office. As a resident of Chesapeake Beach, I’ve had the pleasure of her company while dinning at Alexander’s on the Bay Restaurant. Her pleasant smile was always there to greet you. Her caring personality made her special to those fortunate enough to know her. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Pat will be remembered as a kind, caring, and giving person. I didn’t know her well but I remember that each time I saw her, I felt very much at ease. My prayers are with the family.
Dear Frankie and family, My deepest thoughts of sympathy are with you. Pat was a wonderful person, she will be greatly missed. You are all in my thoughts, heart, and prayers. May God bless you and give you the peace that passes all understanding — Love, Gwen
Several years ago as an analyst in the City’s budget office I was assigned to work with the General Registrar’s Office. Pat was Assistant General Registrar at the time and what a pleasure she was to work with. She had such an upbeat personality and was always ready to work with me on any budget issue. Our City has lost a wonderful person.
Pat did our taxes for years, and as a young married couple just starting out she gave us good advice. When she left H&R Block we left too. Just wasn’t the same without her sweet smile and ability to put you at ease. Pat had a calmness about her and was truly a southern lady. After she went to work for the city we did not see her much but when we did she always remembered our names and even our childrens’. Pat will be missed by all who knew her. May God bless and keep her family.
May the comfort of God help you through this difficult time. Pat will be dearly missed but kept in our memories forever.
So sorry for the passing of Pat. She was a good woman and the loss for her is hugh.May God watch over Bear and her familyat this time of sorrow. God Bless
Since the day I met you I was in awe of your elegance. You had the most loving heart and myself and my daughter were so lucky to share in the times we had with you. I’m glad my daughter got to know her grama bear and truly humbled you shared your caring heart with us. I promise to be there for ‘our girl’ and keep your memory forever in our hearts. God is so lucky to have your light with him now. We’re so lucky to have it shining down on us.
Aunt Pat, I will miss you dearly. I wish I could spend more time visiting with my VA and NC family. Its hard having so many family members so far away, but I cherish the time we did spend together as I was growing up and I know I will meet up with you again one day. I love you!
I remember so much my wonderful friend. I dream of you often and I know you and Kathe are watching me and Pam from above. My life was blessed with you in it. I Love you. Your friend forever,Annis
