
Elsa Rebecca (Lindley) Hommerbocker, passed away on 28 March, 2018 in Virginia Beach, VA. Born July 26, 1937 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of Mr. Arthur Field Lindley, Jr and Mrs. Elsa Rebecca (Mullen) Lindley. After getting her family off to school she entered the workforce where she proved to be multi-talented, working in office management and retail environments until retirement. She loved traveling with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Robert Arnold Hommerbocker, Sr. She is survived by; a daughter, Linda A. Hommerbocker; three sons, Robert A. Hommerbocker, II and his wife, Mary Jane, David E. Hommerbocker and his wife, Laura, and William K. Hommerbocker and his wife, Robin; a sister, Marian Terrie Hegi, a brother-in-law, Stewart Lerch and sister-in-law Betty Mills Hommerbocker; nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Robert, Matthew, Terry, Cynthia, Adrian, Caron, Kelly, and Kimberly; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Grace, and Patricia.
A memorial service will be held graveside on Saturday, April 21st, at 11 a.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 5829 Ritchie Hwy, Brooklyn, MD 21225. The family is invited to attend a gathering at the home of Robert A. Hommerbocker II immediately following the memorial service.
