Erin McKenna Pedersen, 18, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 in Virginia Beach, VA. Born on September 19, 1996 in Virginia Beach, she was the daughter of Christopher Anthony Pedersen, Jr. and Shannon “Danni” Renee Diffin Pedersen. Erin was an up-and-coming senior at Salem High School, and was a member of the Color Guard, where she earned her four-year letter in the marching band. When not hard at work on the drill field, Erin loved spending time with her family and listening to Country music. She will be remembered for her infectious smile, her big heart, and love for her family and friends.

She is survived by her parents, Christopher and Danni Pedersen of Virginia Beach, VA; a brother, Ryan Pedersen of Virginia Beach, VA; a sister, Miranda Pedersen of Virginia Beach, VA; grandparents, Christopher and Christine Pedersen of Hazlett, NJ and William and Linda Diffin of North Branch, MI; two aunts, Michelle Poole and her husband, Dennis of Davision, MI, and Kimberly Pedersen of Lakewood, NJ; an uncle, James Pedersen of Hazlett, NJ; and cousins, Matthew Spencer and his wife, Erin of Elsmere, KY, Michael Sidisin of Lakewood, NJ, Joseph Sidisin of Lakewood, NJ, Brianna Pedersen of Havre De Grace, MD, Brooke Pedersen of Havre De Grace, MD, and Zachary Poole of Davison, MI.

The family will greet friends on Saturday, August 8, 2015, from 6 to 8 pm at Family Choice Funerals & Cremations, 5401 Indian River Rd., Virginia Beach, VA, 23464. A celebration of Erin’s life will be held Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 3 pm at the funeral home.

    My heart is so broken, we will miss you so much when Marchingband is out in the field. I will miss your hugs and all the times you made me smile. I know your up there in heaven watching over us. Erin, I will see u again soon,and then u can give me a hug. Love and miss you. Ms. Patty.. ~???
