Gary Dale Wood , 76, passed away on Wednesday, June 17th, 2015 in Chesapeake Virginia. Born on August 9th, 1938 in Carbondale, Illinois. He was the son of John Wood and Naomi Wood. Gary served our country proudly in the US. Navy, retiring after 22 years of dedicated service.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Betty Gray Wood.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Walker Funeral Home in Carbondale, IL. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, June 30, 2015 at Evergreen Cemetery in Makanda, IL.

    Rip to a Grandfather i dont know…. he has plenty family in ma 2 grandkids and 8 great grandkids and his daugther is also here but all left in the dark because of his significant other!!!
