
George Edward Jenkins Jr., age 57, of Virginia Beach, Virginia passed away December 7, 2020. George was born on April 28, 1963 in Portsmouth, Virginia, to George and Lula Jenkins Sr.
George worked as a lab supply packing coordinator for Abbott Laboratories for 11 years. He was a watch care member of Agate Family Fellowship Ministries. He was also a bass guitar player for the gospel group Souls of Harmony.
He is survived by his daughter, Brianna D. Jenkins; son, Marcus E. Jenkins; stepson, Terrenance J. Mangual; father, George E. Jenkins Sr.; mother, Lula Jenkins; sisters, Tanya J. (Darrell) Freeman, Angela R. Jenkins, and Lei-Challa D. (Eli) Lee; brother, Daryl E. Jenkins; as well as five nieces and three nephews.
George will always be remembered as a loving father, son, brother and friend. He loved music, singing and playing his bass guitar. He enjoyed drawing and designing. He was an avid motorcycle rider who enjoyed the outdoors, especially the beach.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Family Choice Funerals & Cremations in Virginia Beach from 1pm to 5pm.
Due to Covid-19, the family requests that if you come to say your goodbyes and share memories, feel free to say hello, but without a hug.
