  7. Dear Family:

Glenn was one of my best friends when we were growing up in Thompson, ND. We lived next door (actually across the alley) and we played basketball, baseball, horseshoes, and just about any sport we could dream up. We went through high school together and Glenn was a super good athlete, and could have made major college teams, in my opinion. He was a natural athlete and very talented.

But he was also a great friend, and I will miss him very much. I want to extend my sincere sympathy to the entire family. You can take great comfort in knowing that he was loved here in ND as well as VA. He was one of a kind!

  8. My condolences to Glenn’s family. I grew up with Glenn and Gary in Thompson, ND. We attended the same school where we studied and played together. Glenn was always a very likable guy. I well remember his Davy Crocket coonskin hat that he
proudly wore in grade school. May God keep watch over Glenn’s family.

  9. It is with heavy hearts that Ed and I write this. When we joined the 29er’s Cribbage Club in 1995, Glenn was one of the first members to welcome us. From that day on, Glenn has been a wonderful friend. His jokes, health cures, music, and WHRO videos were very special to us. There wasn’t a kinder or more giving person in the Club. As we look through pictures, there was always a smile on his face. Most of all, the love and pride he felt for his family was unmatched. Ed and I will miss our great friend. Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you.

  10. My sincere condolences for Glenn’s family.

I knew Glenn for just a few years but became friends through his Daughter, Melissa.

I thought the funeral service was simply outstanding with much professionalism shown by the Military Detail.

  11. Pamela, Glenn, Priscill and Mellisa,
Please accept my deepest sympathy over your loss of your father. Glenn was a first cousin of mine and my mentor in many different ways. We spent time together as kids and teenagers. Glenn was always ready to do fun stuff like hunting, traping various sports especially basketball. There were times when Glenn worked for my dad on our farm and that was always a fun time to have him there. One memorable thing that Glenn did for me was to show me how to spit shine shoes. I was a freshman at UND in 1961 and Glenn happened to be home on leave or perhaps he was between his Army tour and joining the Navy but I needed to get my ROTC uniform up to speed and Glenn came out to show me what I needed to do. I earned lots of merits because of Glenn’s help. That’s the kind of cousin he was — helpful and willing to share his skills with others. I feel a deep sense of loss now that he is gone and I pray he is with Jesus now so that we can be together once again when I get to Heaven. We’re saved by grace through faith.
