Gregory Allen Myers, 61, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 10th, 2017 in the comfort of his home. Preceded in death by his father Jack W. Myers.
Gregory was born November 5th, 1955 in Pontiac, Michigan to Jack and Sally Myers. Greg served our country proudly in the United States Navy from 1975 – 1979. During this time he served aboard the USS Midway. In the 80’s & 90’s did commercial fishing on the West coast of the U.S. Greg moved to Norfolk, VA in 2006, where he worked as a machinist in the ship repair business for 15 years. Greg loved the outdoors and the ocean. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved to play to play guitar, go to the local baseball games and cook. Greg will always be remembered as a loving brother, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish his memory is his: mother, Sally J. Myers; daughter, Andrea Diana Cummings; grandson, Anthony L. Steele, Jr.; brothers, Michael and Mark; sisters, Michelle Nolan and Karen and husband Michael Johnson; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, November 13th, 2017 at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk.

    God bless family and friends. Sorry to hear of Greg’s passing. I am Andrea’s mother. Had a lot of good time’s with Greg.
