
Helen Catherine Odenthal, 95, passed away Tuesday, November 15, at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born January 6, 1916 in New York City to the late William and Catherine Boardman McKenzie. Helen enjoyed twelve years in management with New York City Engineers Club and was a member of The Church of the Ascension for almost 30 years and was a founding member of The Rainbows Society.
Helen is survived by her son, Robert A. Odenthal of Virginia Beach; daughter, Elizabeth Trivisonno of Hightstown, NJ; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many other beloved family and friends. Besides her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert G. Odenthal; and daughter, Marie A. Waters.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 25, at 1:00 p,m. at the Church of the Ascension, 4853 Princess Anne Road Virginia Beach, VA 23462 with Father Charles Breindel and Father Parke presiding.

Aunt Helen, I only met you a couple of times but the couple of times left a great impression on me… I always heard the most wonderful things about you…You were an amazing woman who was very loved and who will be dearly missed by all…God Bless and Rest in Peace….

I know Aunt Helen loved her family so much. She was such a special woman. She took care of so many of her family. She was a tough woman but a kind and caring woman who was so loved by her family and those who met her. She certainly has a special place in heaven and in the hearts of all who knew her.
