
Henry Clay Price of Norfolk went home to be with the Lord on January 31, 2011, at the age of 94, in Sentara Leigh Hospital. He was born August 31, 1916, in Tarboro, North Carolina. He served in the Air Force as a Staff Sergeant in World War II. He retired from Norfolk Naval Air Station after 27 years as an Aircraft Mechanic.
He was a member of Norview Masonic Lodge and a past Master. He enjoyed hunting in the mountains of Virginia. He loved spending time with his wife Mary in the mountains of Hillsville near Lynchburg, Virginia.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary Katherine Price of Norfolk, a daughter: JoAnne Price Tatarian and her husband Michael of Virginia Beach; three great-grandchildren; Stephanie Marie Crow and her husband Daniel, Jason Alan Jones and his wife Alena and Brian Christopher Jones all of Virginia Beach; two great-great grandsons, Christopher Michael and Alex Daniel Crow; and two sisters, Edna Mae Davenport of Selby North Carolina and Callie Miriam Carroll of Virginia Beach.
He was predeceased by two sons and a granddaughter; Dean Michael Price of Courtland, Virginia, Randall William Price of Stockton, California and his granddaughter; Wendy Anne Jones of Chesapeake, Virginia.
A graveside Military service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, February 4, at Albert G Horton Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk by Mr. Hubert Davenport. There will be a reception for family and close friends after the service at his daughter’s home in Virginia Beach.
