Irene Elizabeth Cihlar, 84, passed away on Tuesday, September 16th, 2014 in Virginia Beach. Born on June 10, 1930 in Baltimore, MD, she was the wife of the late Joseph William Cihlar. Irene enjoyed reading, and sewing for herself and her family, whom she dearly loved.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Brazier of Virginia Beach; a son, William “Bill” Cihlar and his wife, Sharon of Bedford, PA; four grandsons, Bill Brazier and Brian Brazier of Virginia Beach, VA, Michael Cihlar and his wife, Jessica of Philadelphia, PA and David Cihlar and his wife, Stephanie of Greenville, SC; and five great-grandchildren, Louisa, Thomas, Mae, Wyatt, and Madeline.

Services will be private.

    I just happened to find an old picture of me, Irene and her husband from when we worked at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. So I thought I’d look to see if she had passed and saw that she did in 2014. This is really crazy but Irene told me that she would use an old tooth brush to scrub in places that a regular scrub brush wouldn’t get so my husband and I still save our old toothbrushes for this – thanks to Irene’s special kind of housecleaning. I still work at Mercy. Hope Linda sees this. They lived in Eastwoood right? Great lady!
