Irmgard Charlotte Wagley, 81, passed away peacefully in her sleep with her loving family by her side in Norfolk. Born on September 12, 1930 in Bremerhaven, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Anna Wempen.

She is survived by her three sons Karl Wesseler, Kyle and Wayne Wagley, and their families. Besides her parents, Irmgard was preceded in death by her son, Eric Wagley.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Family Choice Funerals & Cremations, 5401 Indian River Road, Virginia Beach.

    Our deepest apologies for being unable to travel home during this time of loss. Donya, the girls and I will always remember how Oma loved to sing to us in German, and her joy in discussing history and current events. I hope as the family comes together in our thoughts and prayers that we all remember the many Christmas’ we spent together, and the joy we shared during Oma’s life. Oma will be missed and we are celebrating her life down in Texas. With love and remembrances, Mark, Donya, Lola and Bailey.
