
Jackie Ray Carter, 38, passed away April 12, 2013 in Norfolk. Born on January 29, 1975 in Norfolk, he was predeceased by his loving mother, Donna DeMarco Davidson. Jackie dearly loved his sons and was an avid boater and fisherman. He also enjoyed softball and coaching his sons’ Little League Baseball teams. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Julie; sons, Zachariah and Dylan; sister, Zena Redish and her husband, Steven; uncles, Louis DeMarco and his wife, Tami and James DeMarco; nieces, Alexis, Davida, Ashland, and Ally; nephew, David; and many more loving family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Family Choice Funerals & Cremations, 5401 Indian River Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23464.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to the “Memorial of Jackie Ray Carter Benefit for Dylan & Zachariah Carter” via bank deposits at Wells Fargo, electronic transfers, or through PayPal.

Now you are in Heaven with your Mom, Big Mom, and Gramps. You left behind two great sons. We will look out for them as long as we are alive. You were taken way too soon, and were a great friend. Jack, we will miss you terribly.

Jackie, you will be sorely missed by so many! I sure hope there is fishing in heaven. Tell our moms I said “hello”.
I keep hearing Jac laugh. He had a laugh that we just can’t forget. He was amazing man and and he will never be forgotten. We all have so many memories of him and that is what we have to try to remember and realize he loved us all he would not want us to be unhappy. Jac will be missed dearly and me and Kevin feel very honored to have had such a special person in our life for so many years. Jac we love you.

Jack…As the old saying goes, to know you is to love you. So a many memories of us all as kids growing up, good, bad, even as neighbors. I’m sure it’s just now sinking in for most that you have been taken to a better place all too soon. I’m sure God has a plan for you. You were such a laid back & loveable guy who will be missed so much, especially by your boys. I hope that you are watching over us all smiling and at peace as you are catching the big ones.
