James Donald Brew, 88, passed away on Sunday, March 6th, 2016 in Chesapeake Virginia. Born on August 22nd, 1927 in Murfreesboro, TN he was the son of the late Daniel Brew and Joetta Brew and husband of the late Ruby Brew. Mr. Brew was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a missionary, serving in the Presbyterian Church of Congo (Zaire). He was a member of Greenbrier Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by a son, Terry Brew and his wife, Connie of Chesapeake; a daughter, Cindy Brew Dunn and her husband, Clayton of Kinshasa, Congo; a daughter-in-law, Rose Brew of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren, Jamie Frederick and her husband, Josh, Joanie Brew, Jessica Brew Brockett and her husband, Justin, and Daniel Brew and his wife, Pernille; four great-grandchildren, Brayden Frederick, Amelia Brockett, Henry Brockett, and Frida Brew. He was preceded in death by a son, Jim Brew.

Services will be held at a later date.
