Jean Ferebee Phelps, 86, passed away July 8, 2015.
Jean was born in Norfolk to the late Vincent and Vera Ferebee. She was a loving wife and mother and enjoyed caring for her family.

Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband of 66 years, Richard Phelps; children: Michael, Rick, Leslie and Brian Phelps; grandchildren: Rachael, Brittany, Renee, Brooke, Tara, Ashley and Danielle; and one great-grandson, Logan Sainato.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm, Monday, July 13, 2015 at Family Choice Funerals & Cremations. 5401 Indian River Rd. in Virginia Beach. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at the funeral home.

    I send my thoughts and sincere condolences to all of your family. Mrs. Phelps was an amazing woman who loved all of you guys dearly. I am truly blessed to have been able to be a part of her life for the time that I was. I send my love out to all of you. Mrs. Phelps will be missed and loved always.

    She was beautiful, both inside and out.Many good memories from childhood. My sympathies to all who were fortunate enough to have been touched by her life.
