
WILLIAMSBURG – John W. Wainwright, 59, passed away on April 11, 2010 in Williamsburg. A native of Hampton, he worked in hotel maintenance and enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and traveling. His passions also included the Washington Redskins and NASCAR.
He is survived by a daughter, Lisa Ann Carter; two sons, William Wainwright and John Wainwright, Jr.; two sisters, Mary Robbins and her husband, Roger, and Shirley Sequist and her husband, Richard; a brother, Murry Clark; and a step-daughter, Lauren Mayo.

johnny, you were my brother inlaw,and i didn’t get to know you that well,but what i did know is you were a great person and friend.you raised your little sister, shirley,and from the things she told me you were here protector,big brother,and she loved very much.since your passing, you have gone to a better place.but you have gone but you still have a part of you in shirleys heart and mine.
