  1. Her smile would light up a room! If you left their home hungry…it was your own dam fault. Rest in peace and please watch over Lewis and Bumper!

  5. My deepest condolences go out to Bumper and Lewis..

Ma’am was a wonderful soul and lighted up a room the minute she entered. I may have not known her well but she definitely made it an impact on my life.

  6. She was naturally charismatic and caring, friendly but frank, which was one of my favorite parts about her. She would never turn away a friend in need, nor turn down a laugh or two. I am grateful for the time that I knew her, and will always look upon those memories gratefully.

  8. I am so sick with sadness. Karen and I have know one another a long time and as with many things in life, let our friendship slip away. There were trips, parties and many hours beating John and Lewis in cards. I pray she will rest in peace and be the beautiful guardian angel to watch over Lewis, her friends and beloved family. You will most definitely be missed…..love, your long lost friend Donna

  9. I am in shock over this news. Karen opened my eyes to embroidery at Tidewater Sew Vac and was always ready to share all that she knew. She was a great teacher and very welcoming. May she rest in peace and I’m sure she is up in heaven trying to decorate the nooks and crannies. God Bless Lewis, Bumper and family.

  11. I am so sad at our tragic loss of such a wonderful, caring, thoughtful, lady. I, also came to know Karen through Tidewater Sew n Vac sewing and embroidery classes, first at the Norfolk location, and the last couple years at Newport News. Such talent! She was such an accomplished artist, always helpful and very witty and eager to share other options or ways of working. Karen was a true treasure and I’m sure she is in heaven adding pops of color everywhere!
Prayers for Lewis and Bumper, the rest of Karen’s family, and her large circle of friends.

  13. Aaron and I recall with fondness the first conversation we had with Karen back in 2006. Our group would not exist if it had not been for our meeting and conversations. Our thoughts and prayers are with Lewis, Bumper, her family, friends, and the Communities that she touched that are now poorer for the loss.
