You Are Special
Rose, Gaby and myself were stationed in Sigonella, Italy, Norfolk, VA, and Rota, Spain together. She was a heck of an Sailor, mother, and friend. Her laugh and humor was infectious. We mourn her passing.
My Rose made me the best mechanic that I am at NNSY. She trained me on my first real project at work and we worked together side by side on the last project she was on when she got the news…She was still positive about it all and stayed the same until the last day I worked with her. She was everything! I miss her so much. Love her so much. Can’t believe she is gone…but not forever! When we see her again, it will seem like but a moment. Until then, I’ll always cherish every moment we had together! She got on my nerves some days, because she had no filter lol but before the day was over, I always made sure I let her know there was no grudge and I enjoyed my day with her and we always ended our work day together with smiles, laughs, and see-ya-tomorrows. She was like a work-mother to me. Thank God for Rose. Always and forever she will be missed, respected, and loved.
My heart is aching for Jennifer and Ben and all of the Lewis family.
I’m flooded with memories of my childhood spent with Kathy. She had an infectious smile and loving personality.
I cherish the memories. May you all find comfort in knowing she touched so many people in so many ways in her lifetime.
Love, Christie Jackson Stoops
