
Kevin F. Everingham, Sr., 74, of Virginia Beach passed away on August 12, 2010. A native of Delmar, NY, he was the son of the late Benjamin Hall and Mary Wallace Everingham. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and retired truck driver with Waste Management. Mr. Everingham was a volunteer firefighter for many years with the Slingerlands Volunteer Fire Department in Slingerlands, NY. He loved NASCAR and making projects out of ceramic and leather.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Nancy Everingham; four daughters, Theresa Klein and her husband, Paul of Coxsackie, NY, Kathryn Jones and her husband, Dan of East Chatham, NY, Sharon Marchesani of Catskill, NY, and Ann Marie Myers of Coxsackie, NY; a son, Kevin F. Everingham, Jr. and his wife, Karen of Virginia Beach; two step-children, Franco Colamarco and his wife, Carol of Williamstown, NJ and Ramona Colamarco of Virginia Beach; twenty-one grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Claudia Hughes and her husband, Timothy and Beverly Schuman and her husband, Edward; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clayton Everingham and Joel Everingham; and his son-in-law, John Marchesani.
A memorial service with military honors will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2010 in the chapel of Memory Gardens, Albany, NY. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation or to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are being cared for by Family Choice Funerals and Cremations.
