
Lawrence Edward Hinchee, Sr., 75, of Vinton, passed away Wednesday, March 25th, 2015 in Salem.
Born September 6th, 1939 in Roanoke, he was the son of the late Roy Hinchee and the late Verna Shumate Hinchee. He served his country with the US NAVY. Prior to retirement, he was employed as a truck driver and was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife of 42 years, Wanda Light Hinchee, he is survived by: three daughters, Angela Hinchee, Beverly Bean and husband Keith and Sherry Moore and husband Artie; three sons, Eddie Hinchee, Jr., Brian Hinchee and Barry Dickerson and wife Cassie; one brother, Julian Hinchee and wife Carolyn; several grandchildren; and great grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Lewis-Gale Medical Center Surgical ICU for the care and concern shown to Lawrence and family during his illness.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 am, Monday, March 30, 2010 at Mineral Springs Baptist Church, 1030 Bible Lane, Vinton with Pastor Jason Gault officiating. Family visitation will be from 10 – 11 am, for one hour, prior to the service.
Memorial contributions my be made to Mineral Spring Baptist Church.
