Luther Harman, 89, of Virginia Beach, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Born on October 28, 1921 in Carrollton, GA, he was the son of the late Luther and Alma Harman.

He is survived by his loving Wife, Sylvia Harman, and many friends who loved him very much.

That gentle, determined Lu, was apparently so modest about his life and career that we never knew of his remarkable services to his country and his significant accomplishments. But,Sylvia,your friends know you were as proud of Lu as he was of you. And,as I’ve said before, if there were a mountain to be moved for his Sylvia, he would have been the first to give it a big shove. Be comforted.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Harman family. It was always a pleasure to see him and we will miss him and Ollie and Gypsy.
