Lydia Josefina Pizarro, 61, passed away on Wednesday, March 11th, 2015 in Virginia Beach. Born November 15, 1953 in Panama she was the daughter of the late Luis and Lydia Pizarro. Lydia worked in health care and enjoyed music, gardening and the beach.

Lydia is survived by her son Damion Pizarro of Virginia Beach, sisters Iris (George) Cooper of Baltimore and their two children Maria and George; Maria (Bill) Hicks of Alabama and their three children Warren, Daniel and Mindy Hicks; brothers Luis Pizarro of Severn, Md and his two children Luis and Dustin Pizarro, and Jose Pizarro of Glen Burnie, Md.

A memorial service to honor her life will be held at a later date. Please check back for updated information.

    Dear Damion and family, please accept my deepest condolences at the loss of your sweet Mother. We didn’t spend much time together, but what time we did have left me with fond memories of her lovely smile and happy attitude on life. Peace be with you all.

    I was so sorry to learn of Josephine’s passing! We were friends during our teen years and spent many good times together! She was a special person and I am so saddened by her passing! May God bless and keep you.
