“Mae” Ora Mae Gray, 79, of Roanoke, was peacefully called home to be with the Lord, on Sunday, May 31st, 2015 in Salem, VA.

She was born July 4, 1935 in Roanoke, she was the daughter of the late Raymond M. Ayers and the late Bessie Gordon Ayers.

She is survived by five children: Linda (John) McIntosh, Roy (Rita) Webster, George Webster, Elizabeth Redden, and Richard Webster; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Goodwin; and two brothers, Raymond Ayers and Robert (Diane) Ayers.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 5, 2015 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens by Elwood McAllister of Penn Forest Christian Church.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Mae’s name to either Angels of Assisi, 415 Campbell Ave SW, Roanoke, VA 24016 or Penn Forest Christian Church, 3028 Penn Forest Blvd., Roanoke, VA 24018.

    Richard,
    So sorry to hear about your mother’s passing. I lost my mother 42 years ago, and my sister this Easter. They will always have a special place in my heart the same as I’m sure your mother will have in yours. The memories you can cherish forever .
