Margaret Gurganus Butt, 93, passed away on Tuesday, September 23rd, 2014 in Chesapeake. Born on February 21st, 1921 in Pungo, NC, she was the daughter of the late John and Carthine Gurganus.

She is survived by a daughter, Sherry L. Joyce and her husband, Gary; a son, Tracey T. Butt, all of Chesapeake; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a sister, Carolton Barron and her husband, Bubba of Miami Springs, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 27th, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
