Margaret Geraldine Pruitt Waldrop passed away at the age of 94 on April 16, 2016 in Virginia Beach. Margaret was born December 1, 1921 in Henry County, Virginia, to Almond Chestley Pruitt and Elizabeth Pernillia Campbell.
She was married to Lt. Col Meriwether Christian Waldrop, USAF (Ret)
the love of her life, and they lived and set up houses in the Azores Islands, Bermuda Islands, Charleston, S.C., Savannah, GA., Puerto Rico, Richmond, VA., and Virginia Beach, Va.
She was an amazing cook, a baker and created recipes. She enjoyed beauty and dancing, sewing and golf, and always had a little dog.

Margaret is survived by her children:
Dr. Thomas Christian Waldrop ( Debbie ) Midlothian, VA.
Robert Meriwether Waldrop, Virginia Beach, VA.
Wanda Lynn Waldrop, Virginia Beach, VA.
Meriann Lee Reid ( Scott ) Williamsburg, VA.

Her grandchildren:
Dr. Kim Kirschner ( Robert ) Galveston, TX.
Todd Waldrop ( Jane ) Herndon, VA.
Courtney Reid, Williamsburg, VA.

Her great grandchildren:
Owen, Henry and Charlotte Waldrop
Sophie and Charlie Kirschner

Her dog: Dexter

And her loved nieces and nephews.

Margaret is predeceased by her husband Chris, and by her sisters and brother, Daisy, Ruth, Florence and George.

The service will be on Thursday April 28, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Greenwood Memorial Gardens
12609 Patterson Ave Richmond, Virginia

    Dear Lynn, Meriann, Tommy, and Robbie,
    I am so very sorry to hear about Aunt Margaret. What a special person she was. I hope it would be okay if Randy, Bruce, and I (and our spouses Patti, Lestra, and Joel) came to the memorial service at Greenwood today to pay our respects and to see all of you. I remember that Uncle Chris is there (and Mike, too~)
