
Marjorie Raynor Park passed away Friday, April 10, 2015 at Sentara Hospice House in Virginia Beach, VA. Born on November 8, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Elzie L. and Jesse M. Raynor. She is predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Lawrence Thomas Park. She is survived by her sons, Larry Park and his wife Robin, and Scott Park and his wife Ellen, who have 4 children, Raynor Murphy (Chris), Sarah Park, Anna Park, and Terrio Weathers.
Margie was married to Lawrence in 1944 and after 10 years of service to Seaboard Coastline Railroad, they began their family, and she continued to be a homemaker. She cared for her home and family actively with kindness and love. After moving to Virginia Beach with Scott’s family, she enjoyed her grandchildren and their needs, always ready to smile in the midst of the usual chaos of a busy home.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Norfolk, 312 Kempsville Rd, Norfolk, VA with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 p.m. She will be buried next to her husband at Elmwood Cemetery in Oxford, NC at 2:00 p.m. the following day.

My mom said she heard of your mother’s passing at prayer group this morning. I was sorry to hear but she looked like she was happy with you and your family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Mom said the United Methodist women thought a lot of her and they appreciate someone calling the church to let them know. They would like to have an address for you.
I hope you are doing well. Let me know if you ever come to Wesley. We are still there.
