Mayo O. Stevens, 79, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2013 in Virginia Beach. Born December 25, 1933 in Smith County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Winnie Osborne. Mayo enjoyed writing about genealogy and history.

She is survived by two daughters, Alisha Stevens and Linda Roper and her husband, Al; three sons, Mack Stevens, II and his wife, Elizabeth, Jon Stevens, and Ken Orsburn; grandchildren, Trey and Shannon; and great-granddaughter, Sydney.

    The Bible gives us the wonderful prospect of seeing our loved ones again on a paradise earth. At Psalms 37:9-11 & 29, it gives us the hope of living forever on a paradise earth. It will be a time when Isaiah 33:24 will take place and “no resident will say ‘I am sick.” On this paradise earth, Rev. 21:4 promises us that “death will be no more.” I know this may not relieve your deep grief at this time, but please take faith in God’s promises.
