Melissa Ann Wright , 46, of Thaxton, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2014. She was born Saturday, April 29, 1967, in Roanoke, VA.

Melissa is survived by her mother, Christine Eads and her husband, Randy, her father, Berkley McGeorge, her five children: Angel Delp, Stephanie Delp, Lacy Highsmith, Miki Highsmith & Mikey Wright, Jr.; her brothers: Timmy Saunders, Buck McGeorge, John McGeorge, Jason McGeorge & William Eads; her sister, Katrina Eads; her grandchildren: Leonard, Michael, Thomas, Stacy, and Steven Delp, III, Ceriana, Alyssa, and Krystina Highsmith, Faith and Aaliaya Bond, and Dixie and Skylar Phillips; and her special friends: Steven Delp, Sr., Kristen McGeorge, Ruby Gibson, Trina King, and Kemmy Sue.

She was predeceased by her daughters: Niki & Jessica Highsmith and her brother Cecil Saunders.

A service celebrating Melissa’s life will be held at Fairdale Farm, 410 Fairdale Dr., Thaxton, VA 24174 at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 19, 2014.

    To the Family,
    There are no words I can say to ease your grief, but here are some scriptural thoughts to meditate on. If you draw close to God in prayer “He himself will sustain you.” Psalm 55:22. “There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” Acts 24:15. “The righteous themselves will possess the earth and they will reside forever upon it.” Psalm 37:29. “GOD…will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:3-4. As you think of your dear loved one, may the memories that she leaves behind bring you great joy.
